It is with great sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Ruby Lee Medford of Haskell, TX on July 6, 2026. Ruby passed away surrounded by family and friends. Ruby was born October 2, 1932 to Herbert and Annie Nauert Klose of Mattson. She married the love of her life, Jack Medford on May 14, 1946. They spent the majority of their lives in Haskell where they raised their family. 

      Ruby had a competitive spirit. She loved cards, dominoes, bowling and volleyball, but her heart belonged to the golf course. And even more than games, she loved to show off her family. 

     Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Annie Klose, her husband, Jack Medford, her son Robin Mark Medford, her sisters , Verlene Adkins of Haskell, Carolyn Moore of Munday, her brother, Wilbert Klose, of Haskell and her son-in-law, Laval Verhalen of Munday. 

      Those remaining to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janice Verhalen, granddaughters Sheri (and Mickey) Dunnam of Haskell, and Rhonda (and Jimmy) Cooke of Seymour. She has several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

      Ruby will be buried at the Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday, .
