Melvin Chesley Cypert was born on January 29, 1942, in Munday, Texas, to Oscar and Hazel Cypert. Melvin passed away peacefully after a hard fight against a rare cancer. The family is comforted by the fact he is no longer in pain and is with his Heavenly Father. He grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, family, and community that would guide him throughout his life.

Melvin was a beloved son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, whose life touched many people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Hazel Cypert and his great-granddaughter Riley Cypert.

He is survived by his sister Cathy Cypert Albus (Richard), their children Angela Young (Jason) and Alan Albus (Sondra), sons Mike Cypert (Kelly) and Derek Cypert (Kathy), daughter Vanessa Rodriquez, and sons Danny Caram (Rebecca) and William Caram, his grandchildren Jason Cypert, (Emily) Aaron Cypert (Sueann), Hunter Cypert (Christina ), Amanda Cypert (Glen) , Nicole Cypert, Deven Cypert (Bailey), Kylie Smith (Will)), Krista Cahall (Garrick), Caleb Marc, Mya Caram, Amira Caram, Mason Caram, Brayden Caram, Jackson Caram, and Brynley Caram, He also had 15 great grandchildren.

Melvin's memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his presence. His legacy lives on through the love he shared, the relationships he built, and the memories that will be treasured for generations.

A private service will be held at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
