Obituary

Jerry Wayne Branam, Jr., 53, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 11, 2026.

Jerry was born on April 27, 1973, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Jerry Wayne Branam, Sr. and Vicki (Tidwell) Branam. At the age of three, his family moved to Munday, Texas, where he grew up in a close-knit community and formed lifelong friendships.

From an early age, Jerry loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed water skiing, fishing, and playing sports. He was a proud member of the Munday Moguls State Championship football team, earning All-State honors, and also competed on the State Championship track team.

Jerry was also a gifted artist with a natural talent for drawing. Those closest to him admired both his creativity and the quiet passion he brought to his artwork.

Fishing was Jerry’s greatest joy. Some of his happiest memories were made on the water with his father, “Big Jerry,” and his PaPa in Roanoke. Later, he shared that same love of the outdoors with his nephew, Conner Wayne Forehand, teaching him to fish, hunt, and appreciate nature.

Above all, Jerry cherished his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. His quick wit, infectious sense of humor, kindness, loyalty, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wayne Branam, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Vicki (Tidwell) Branam; his sister, Brandy Branam Buffington; his nephew, Conner Wayne Forehand; his niece, Aubrey Lane Buffington; his aunt, Rhonda (Tidwell) Collins; his cousin, Robert Collins; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Jerry will be remembered for his loving spirit, steadfast friendships, generous heart, and the countless lives he touched. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Rhineland Gym in Rhineland, Texas. A wake service will follow afterward.
